Creekside Trails

Bike, run & explore Creekside Trails.

Creekside Trails, operated by Valpo Parks, is a multi-use trail system with 14 miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, trail running, birding, snowshoeing, xc skiing and walking leashed dogs.

The vision of Creekside Trails is to create a safe and enjoyable recreational riding and hiking area for Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.

The trails are open year-round, with the trailhead located next to Trailyard Outpost.

Park Hours & Rules

Creekside Trails are free and open dawn to dusk seven days a week, weather permitting. Night riding is not authorized.

General Guidelines

  • Non-motorized, activity-specific bicycles are permitted

  • Pedestrians permitted on designated multi-use trails and spectating areas. Yield to mountain bikes

  • Children under the age of eighteen must always be supervised by a parent or other responsible caretaker age eighteen or over, except with special permission

  • Dogs must be leashed at all times

  • Horses, motorized bikes and other motorized vehicles are not allowed

  • Riders are responsible for wearing a helmet with chin strap buckled

  • Recommended safety equipment: Gloves, knee/shin pads, arm/elbow pads, full face helmet, first aid kit, water, etc.
